Today I want to take us on a journey to show you how in a Republic, all power is inherent in the People. As discussed previously, inherent means existing in something so as to be inseparable from it. We as the People have inherent rights, these rights are given to ALL men, by God, and no government has been delegated any powers over these rights. We the People reserved these rights in the Bills and Declarations of the 50 state constitutions. By reserved, this means to keep, to hold, or to retain, so when we say “reserved to the People,” which you will see many examples of this found in the states constitutions, this means these rights we retained to the People, and we held them back, keeping them from the governments. When we granted the governments powers in the state constitutions, we DID NOT grant them ANY powers over the rights we reserved.
Now, to give you a more clear and thorough understanding of these facts let us dive into the states constitutions to show you exactly what they say, and provide irrefutable proof of my statements.
What are inherent rights?
One which abides in a person and is not given from someone or something outside of itself. A right which a person has because he is a person. Black’s Law Dictionary 5th Edition
Inherent rights are rights given to all men by God and therefore, no government or government agent has been granted ANY powers over these rights. Our first example will be in the Virginia Constitution, and a few others to follow.
“That all men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety.” Virginia Constitution Article 1 Section 1
“All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights; among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; to secure these rights, governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Wisconsin Constitution Article 1 Section 1
“All persons are by nature free and independent, and have certain natural and unalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, of acquiring, possessing, and protecting property, and of pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness.” New Jersey Constitution Article 1 Paragraph 1
What are inalienable rights?
We can see it stated in all three examples provided, that all men are free and independent and have certain inherent and inalienable rights. An inalienable right is something that cannot be legally or justly alienated or transferred from us, its part of us and can never be removed or alienated from us.
“Inalienable means not subject to alienation; that which cannot be bought or sold or transferred from one person to another, such as rivers and public highways, and certain personal rights; eg liberty.” Black’s Law Dictionary 1st Edition.
Therefore, when we see our rights in the states constitutions as being inherent, inalienable, or unalienable these rights are ours forever and no government can ever take them away. If you’re wondering why I'm providing so many definitions and other cited evidence, this is because I want to be sure to give you a solid factual basis, with proof, for you to see that what I am writing is not simply my opinion. It’s literally what is written and how the articles of our state constitutions set forth to express our inherent rights and show how we exempted ALL and ANY governments from having ANY POWERS over these rights. Hence, the Constitutions do not grant us such rights, they are just declaring them for all to see and know, especially those in government who are elected and chosen to represent the People.
As we look further into these states articles I just listed and a few more below, we can see that not only do they tell us that we have these inherent and inalienable rights, but they also clearly show us what those rights are. Those of “enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property and of pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness.” So when we see that all of these examples literally say the same thing, with minor differences in synonymous descriptive words, it allows for use to see a clear yet concise schema of the picture of our natural, inherent, and unalienable rights.
A closer looker into “what is liberty?”
Liberty is freedom from restraint, being able to do as one wishes and chooses freely in society. Now, let’s look to Black’s Law for a solid definition to support my statements.
Liberty - Freedom, exemption from extraneous control. The power of the will in its moral freedom, to follow the dictates of its unrestricted choice, and to direct the external acts of the individual without restraint, coercion, or control from other persons. Black’s Law Dictionary 1st Edition
Moreover, we have these inherent rights of enjoying and defending life and liberty, which means being able to have the free will to make and do as one chooses within society. When they mandate any type of action, with a stipulation, such as wearing a mask to allow entry or requiring shots in order to attend school or a job, these actions are restricting our inherent rights to liberty and are 100% unlawful and unconstitutional. Remember I showed you where no government was granted any powers over the inherent rights of the People.
It’s pretty amazing how much truth and power lies within these articles that exist in all 50 states constitutions. Now, let us return to the state's articles as they give us such a solid and clear foundation for what our natural rights are.
“Natural rights. All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain natural, inherent and unalienable rights, among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and of pursuing and obtaining safety and happiness.“ Maine Constitution Article 1 Section 1
“All men are by nature free and independent and have certain inherent and inalienable rights among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. To secure these rights and the protection of property, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Illinois Constitution Article 1 Section 1
We as People all have these rights, in fact ignorance of these rights can in no way diminish or lessen these rights because of the simple fact that they are inherent in all People. It is for this very reason that we are teaching and showing you the truth, to allow you to be empowered to stand on your inherent rights as one of the People. Let’s review a little further these articles we’ve listed as examples to help you better understand. As we see in Illinois’ Constitution, “All men are by nature free and independent” […] and “to secure these rights” […] “governments are instituted, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” This literally means exactly what it says, that governments are only instituted to secure our natural rights. Those of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and also the rights to acquire, possess and protect property and of course to provide safety. Rather, governments were NEVER instituted to harm or trample on our inherent and inalienable rights. They we ONLY created to make sure we the People are safe, secure and happy. It’s truly that simple.
Lastly, there is one more very important article I want to show you as it truly gives a clear understanding of how We the People have reserved any and all powers over our inherent rights.
“To guard against transgressions of the high powers herein delegated, we declare that everything in this "Bill of Rights" is excepted out of the general powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate, and all laws contrary thereto, or to the following provisions, shall be void.” Texas Constitution Article 1 Section 29
To guard against transgression of the high powers which we have delegated, We Declare that every thing in this Bill of Rights is excepted out of the general powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate; and all laws contrary thereto, or contrary to this Constitution, shall be void” Kentucky Constitution Bill of Rights Section 26
These two articles are nearly verbatim and clearly show us how our forefathers knew that when they created the states constitutions, that they would have to provide certain safeguards to prevent governmental overreach in order to maintain our Republic. Therefore, we the People, “in order to guard against the high powers we have delegated”, by the word delegated, this means those powers which we have granted the authority to the government to be able to legislative over. Hence, when we created the states we ONLY delegated a specific and exact set of powers and duties and those are expressed in each states constitution. In fact, it’s only these powers expressed, as in written, that those in government are granted authority over. If it’s not expressed or written, then we DID NOT grant any power to ANY government over such rights. Therefore, to guard against the transgression of the high power that we have delegated we declare that EVERYTHING in the Bills of Rights is excepted out of the general powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate. Excepted meaning to take or leave out, to exclude. Moreover, when we excepted everything in the Bill of Rights out of the general powers of government, this means we excluded all of these things from government and they shall forever remain inviolate which means untouched, unharmed, or unhurt.
